Gen 1 --> Gen 2 Migration Instructions

Perform backup of the configurations of the existing app

1.1 Please ensure that a backup of the Field Mapping configured in the application is performed. You may use a screenshot or another method for this task. It is important to consider that these configurations will need to be replicated in the new application.

• App Launcher - All Items - Nexus/Salesforce Field Mapping

1.2 Please ensure that a backup of the Nexus Configuration configured in the application is performed. Both Nexus Managed Package Configuration and Nexus Connections should be saved.

1.3 Please ensure that a backup of the Permissions configured in the application is performed. It should be done or 4 Nexus permission sets: Nexus Administrator, Nexus Api Access, Nexus Developer, Nexus User.

Uninstall Gen 1 application

2.1 After backing up the needed information, you must delete the gen 1 package from the org.

2.2 Before uninstalling the package, we highly recommend reading the Salesforce article on best practices for package uninstallation: Help And Training Community

Install Gen 2

3.1 Install the gen 2 package to the org.

• Step 1: Install the Package
• Step 2: Nexus Package Setup. Can be manually copied over from Gen 1 Package backup of configuration (1.2) or set up from the scratch.
• Step 3: Add / Edit Buttons in Account & Opportunity Page Layout
• Step 4: Salesforce → Nexus Field Mapping. Can be manually copied over from Gen 1 Package backup of configuration (1.1) or set up from the scratch.
• Step 5: Permissions. Can be manually copied over from Gen 1 Package backup of configuration (1.3) or set up from the scratch.
• Step 6: Installation and Initial Configuration is complete!
• Step 7: Testing the Interface

Import Data to Gen 2

This step will be done by Nexus Team

4.1 The Nexus Team pushes all Visits from Past X months & Future X months to populate Gen 2 Package Nexus 'Engagements' Object. Any date range can be populated based on your requirements; please provide the necessary details.
